The Lausanne Guide was created almost a decade ago as a passion project shared between two friends. They wanted to share their love of their adopted city, and discover everything that it had to offer. As it grew, so did their team, connections & perspectives. TLG serves to bridge people and place, to be an independent resource for those living in and visiting Lausanne, and to shape an inclusive community where readers and residents feel connected, empowered, and inspired. Not only do they connect small local businesses with potential new customers, but also create opportunities for collaboration & exploration.
I was already aware of TLG before I started CURA, it was my source for news & events in my new home. They always host amazing events and fun evenings where creatives and locals come together and celebrate life in Lausanne. Their most popular, is their Summer Party. Collaborating with local businesses & creators, the Summer Party is a feast for the soul- food, drinks, music & friendly faces. Its an evening filled with laughter & a shared love for Lausanne.
For the Summer 2023 party, TLG team asked if I would be willing to donate a prize for the event. I was so excited and of course said yes! I teamed up with the event coordinator Natalie Halt, who shared her inspiration & theme for the event- La Dolce Vita! The Lemon earrings were a natural choice of course. I had so much fun making these earrings, and I was able to experiment with different assembly techniques. It also of course was great publicity for me & CURA.
Seeing the ecstatic face of the winner of my earrings will stay with me for a very long time x
